Breaking news

Attempted car theft this morning, 12 April at around 3 am at Jalan SS20/8 (southern zone).
Thieves were caught by the police as a result of resident alerting the police.
OCPD will be paying a visit today at 10:15 am, 12 April to thank said resident for his Community Policing effort.

Car broken in - SS20/26

A car belonging to resident in Jln SS20/26 (Northern Zone) was broken into at around 7:30 pm tonight, 9 April, and the radio was stolen.

The 2 thieves were described as slim and youngish and were riding a motorbike. Please keep a lookout and be alert to the presence of these thieves in our vicinity.

Smash and grab at Section 16 U turn

PETALING JAYA: Two smash-and-grab robbers were caught in the act on car camera.

A motorist captured the incident in broad daylight in Section 16 using a video surveillance camera he installed in his car.

Safety under the umbrella beat

PETALING JAYA: The Selangor police has launched Ops Payung (umbrella police beat base) at SS2 in Sea Park to increase police presence in major business districts in the state.

Three officers will be stationed at the umbrella base. Two will patrol the area on foot.

The base is equipped with a beacon and the base table can be converted into a police stop sign when conducting road blocks.  Read more ....

Underground option for MRT being considered

KUALA LUMPUR: The Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) is keeping its options open on the final alignment of the Sungai Buloh-Kajang mass rapid transit (MRT), including how much of the line will run underground.
SPAD chief executive officer Mohd Nur Ismail Kamal said this was in light of feedback from the public and residents affected by the project.  Read more ......
