Robber family strikes again

Beware of this family.
They have just robbed someone in Sunway Damansara a few days ago.

The Indian couple with 2 young children pretends to be in trouble and will try to flag down motorists to help them.

When the person stopped to help them, suddenly 2 men rushed out and with the help of the Indian woman, they robbed the victim of her money, handphone, gold chain and iPad.

Kidex part of Selangor’s long-term urban plan, says MB


SUBANG JAYA, May 20 ― The Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex) is an integral part of Selangor's new structural plan for 2035, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim said today, in yet another sign that the controversial  project is here to stay.

Despite growing objections by some residents in Petaling Jaya, the Selangor mentri besar reaffirmed that the highway, in addition to improving public transportation, is necessary for the state's future growth.

“All these projects, Kidex, MRT...we cannot look for a quick solution.
When there is density, there must be preparations so that we can help people move from one place to another,” he told reporters at a news conference.  Read more .......

SS20/8 & SS20/9 Residents Sharing Session & Meeting

18 May 2014 - The residents from Road ss20/8 and ss20/9 met up to discuss about the security situation and discuss about issues. Representative from Bertam security - Mr Rajan (supervisor) was available to answer questions from residents.

Light refreshments and teh tarik was served. The residents on road 8 &  9 would like to thank Encik Mior for allowing his neighbours to meet at his restaurant called "Riah Restaurant" at Medan Selera SS20 (near the hospital) for the discussion and fellowship.

Resignation of SS20 Councillor

16 May 2014 - Announcement by Mr Bryan Chiang

'Dear Residents, I have just tendered my resignation (as councillor) with effect today. Sorry for not able to continue serving you all. I made the decision due to my health concern and need more focus on my own business. Thanks again for your cooperation and coordination this few months. Hope to see you all again. Regards, Bryan.'

Mr. Bryan Chiang who was the councillor for SS20 has resigned as of yesterday. There is no replacement for Bryan yet. We thank Bryan for his help and support during this brief period and wish him good health and all the best.

Chaotic Kidex briefing called off after protests from angry residents

PETALING JAYA, May 16 — A scheduled public briefing tonight by Kidex Sdn Bhd over its RM2.42 billion elevated highway was cancelled suddenly following protests by over 300 residents who had accused the developer of using the meeting as an excuse to execute the controversial project.  

Many of the attendees flew into a rage after Kidex Sdn Bhd’s communications head Datin Hasnah Abd Rahman announced the start of the event that the briefing was a requirement criteria for the “implementation” of the highway. Read more ......

Indian man caught in SS20/10

Police apprehended an Indian man tonight while they were patrolling SS20.
The suspect was seen going into the garden of one of the houses near Wisma TA in Jalan SS20/10. When he noticed the police, he jumped over the gate and ran. The police managed to catch him.

House break-in at Road 4

House break-in at Jalan SS20/4 tonight at around 7:30 pm.

A heavily tinted white Honda was noticed near the field in the Southern Zone. It was seen observing the targeted house for a while and going round the field. When the owner left the house, they made their move. Neighbours noticed the men behaving suspiciously and alerted other neighbours and the police. 

The police arrived shortly and found the gate and main entrance door wide open. The owner of the house who has a restaurant in Road 11 was informed of the incident. Confirmed car was stolen but no valuables inside the house were taken.

Latest Update from police
The suspects entered the house and took 2 laptops and the key to the Mercedes and also took the car.

'Flasher spotted wandering around behind the back road, young Chinese male, wearing pink shirt with cap and black apron .... he apparently exposed himself to the part-time maid.'

WHO promotes hand-washing to combat the spread of germs

PETALING JAYA: The role of hand hygiene in preventing the spread of drug-resistant germs is the focus of the World Health Organisation’s annual “SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands” campaign this year.
Launched yesterday, the campaign is in line with WHO’s recently-released report onAntimicrobial Resistance: Global Report on Surveillance.
The report states that there are increasingly more types of bacteria which cannot be killed by antibiotics. The report also stated that no one in the world is safe from this menace. Read more

Experts: Water woes far from over

PETALING JAYA: Water supply woes are far from over although rationing has been called off.
Experts have warned that water crises in the Klang Valley may be the norm until the completion of the Langat 2 treatment plant in Selangor.
S. Piarapakaran, president of the Association of Water Energy Re­­­search (Awer) said Selangor’s water treatment reserve margin was too low to guarantee constant flow during dry seasons or unexpected plant shutdowns. Read more

Security Briefing from Police - 1 May 2014

Car break-in at Jalan SS20/10.
A Toyota Alphard was broken into and its dvd player stolen at the open carpark in front of the Damansara Specialist Hospital.



SS20 Central Zone G&G Security Scheme Launched!

Road SS20/12

SS20 Central Zone today officially launched its Gated and Guarded Security Scheme.
With the scheme, Jln SS20/12 will be the main entry point with 24 hour security check.
Jln SS20/13 and Jln SS20/20 will be opened during peak hours to facilitate school traffic flow.
During these peak hours, there will be a guard to control the entry points.
These 2 roads will be closed after the peak hours and on weekends and public holidays.
Besides stationing a guard at the main entry point, another guard will be patrolling the residential area.
