RA SS20 Central Celebrates MALAYSIA DAY

Residents Association SS20 Central joins the nation in celebrating Malaysia Day on 16 September 2017.

The celebration starts off with singing the National Anthem Negaraku, followed by the ladies dancing to the tune of the nostalgic Tangga 31.

What better way to celebrate Malaysia Day than to have the authentic Malaysian Nasi Lemak, wrapped in banana leaf for breakfast.

Banana muffins were baked "on-the-spot" for breakfast, straight "from the oven-to-the-breakfast-table".

Our gracious ladies modeled the many ways of tying a scarf, be it for the beach, office, evening functions or for casual wear. There was also an innovative way of tying a scarf into a shopping bag, to reduce the use of plastic bags.

The celebration continues with more line-dancing and fellowship among the residents.

We thank Councillor Jamaliah Jamalludin for joining us in celebrating Malaysia Day.

Thank you to residents who contributed a variety of food for the occasion.

The celebration was a true expression of national patriotism and national unity.
