We have placed a recycle box for eye glasses/spectacles at the guardhouse entrance to Central Zone at Jalan SS20/12. This project is coordinated by Lana Low of Road 16.
This is a Lions Club International program that collects old eye glasses, reading glasses and sunglasses, plastic and metal frames. They are then cleaned, repaired and distributed to people worldwide who can't afford to buy their own.
Prescription and non-prescription eyewear are accepted. Children's glasses are especially needed.
Please donate your eye glasses if you do not need them anymore. All you have to do is place them into the box at the guardhouse. Lana will collect them periodically.
