MBPJ gives RM5,000 to teams to carry out Safe City initiatives

THE Petaling Jaya City Council has given incentive payments of RM5,000 each to 56 eligible teams during the launch of MBPJ’s Petaling Jaya Safe Neighbourhood Team (PKKPJ) programme recently.

The money was handed over to the teams by mayor Datuk Mohamad Roslan Sakiman.
Roslan said RM1mil has been allocated for this programme to attract voluntary activities by the residents to assist the council and the police in ensuring the safety of the people in Petaling Jaya.

“We have briefed all residents’ associations (RA) and Rukun Tetangga (RT) about the programme and its pre-requisites.

“The RM5,000 will serve as an annual allowance for each team to utilise for their PKKPJ activities in all 24 zones. Read more ...........
