Dialog with Police - 21 March 2015

 

The police will be holding a dialogue session with residents on:

Date: 21 March, 2015 (Saturday)

Time: 10:00 am to 1200 noon

Venue: DJROA Community Hall, Jalan SS22/26

Various Selangor Police department heads will be present at the dialogue.

Attached is a form for you to document your issue for discussion.

Copies of the forms are available at Sin Yoon Seng and Cabin 8, Jalan SS20/14.

Seeing red over removal of security barriers

Taking action: MBPJ enforcement officers removing the barriers put up along Jalan SS22/41 and Jalan SS22/2 in Damansara Jaya during the operation.

RESIDENTS in SS22, Damansara Jaya are angry after the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) removed barriers in their neighbourhood.

They said MBPJ had acted in a high-handed manner by removing the barriers put up for their security along two roads in the area.

“There was no attempt to discuss the matter or even inform us about the action,” said Damansara Jaya Residents and Owners Association (DJROA) chairman Datuk Yew Cheng Hoe.

He said Damansara Jaya was one of the first neighbourhoods to implement and register its gated-and-guarded scheme with MBPJ.

He said a copy of DJROA’s application to implement the scheme was sent to the mayor’s office in 2008.    Read more  .......

PETALING JAYA: Residents are unhappy over Petaling Jaya City Council's (MBPJ) stand on gated and guarded communities. Their are also upset because a public forum with MBPJ representatives was called off after many of them had made time for it.


"Since residents were upset that the forum was cancelled and wanted their opinions heard, we decided to have a roundtable meeting cum dialogue organised by our hosts, Damansara Utama state assemblyman Dr Cheah Wing Yin and the Damansara Jaya Residents' Association," said Elizabeth Wong, Bukit Lanjan state assemblyman.


The heads of residents' associations, Rukun Tetangga representatives and residents from different parts of Petaling Jaya turning up in full force at the session held at the Damansara Jaya Residents and Owners Association (DJROA) hall.
