Attempted car theft at Jalan SS20/14
Last Friday night, at about 10 pm, the owner of a house near
the Central Zone field returned home to find his gate slightly ajar and saw 2 men
behaving suspiciously and fiddling at his car.
He shouted at them, they ran out. One of the men hopped
onto a waiting white Honda and sped off. The other man ran off in the opposite
direction.
Meanwhile, one of the neighbours who was having a walk in
the field noticed what was happening and immediately notified the police. The
police arrived within minutes.
The men also left a Wira car with its engine running a
few doors away from the house. On checking, the police found that the car
belongs to a Chinese national.
