Facelift for Central Zone field

In addition to having a fresh new look for our basketball court, we can also expect MBPJ to restore and repair the children's playground as well as having some outdoor exercise equipment being installed next to the children's playground!

This is because our field has been slated to be one of the 7 fields in PJ to be upgraded and revamped by MBPJ early this year - thanks to the effort of our ADUN, YB Yeo Bee Yin and request from the RA and RT SS20.

Free health talk and screening

The Ageing & Age-Associated Disorders Research Group of Universiti Malaya, together with the Residents Association SS20 Central Zone, are inviting all senior residents and their families in SS20 Petaling Jaya to a free talk and health screening event.

Assoc Prof Dr Tan Maw Pin of UMMC is the special guest who will give the talk on “Falls in Older People”.

Free health screenings for weight and height, blood pressure, gait and balance, lung capacity and memory tests will be available.

This collaboration between Universiti Malaya and Residents Association SS20 Central Zone is part of the association’s activities under it’s campaign, “Lifetime of Health and Wellness”.  READ MORE .....

Tai Chi in the Central Zone

A large group of SS20 residents gathered at the Central Zone field last night to attend their 1st Tai Chi class.

Tai Chi, the Chinese slow-moving exercise can help relieve stress and increase flexiibility and balance.

The class was conducted by Mr Paul Hoe, a Central Zone resident and organized by the RA SS20 CENTRAL. 

The aim of the activity is to promote a healthy lifestyle and to bring the residents together through exercise.

Classes will be held every Monday and Thursday night, 8 - 9pm at the Central Zone field.

The weekly Thursday night Community Policing & Residents meeting has been changed to Monday night effective tonight, 27 April 2015.

Using Security Stickers or Visitors Pass To Enter Jalan SS20/6

In order to accommodate non residents who wish to enter Jalan SS20/6, security guards will allow SS20 residents who have Central Zone, South Zone & Rukun Tetangga security stickers to enter.

Non residents without security stickers who wish to enter Jalan SS20/6, can register themselves with the security guards. They will be issued a visitor pass. 

We hope that non residents who wish to enter Jalan SS20/6 will accommodate the above system. Your cooperation will help deter families living on road 6, 8 & 9 from crime incidences.

Please note that the exit near TA securities building (facing Tropicana Mall) will still continue to be closed from 11pm-6am.

COOKING DEMO

Rukun Tetangga SS20 DU cordially invites all SS20 residents to a cooking demonstration event specially organized by the Jiran Wanita (Ladies Wing) Committee.

Fried Vegetarian Meehoon will also be served as sampling. Potluck & recipe sharing are most welcome.

The objective of the event is to create an opportunity for all residents to integrate, interact and bond with one another, thereby promoting goodwill and unity in the neighbourhood.

The gated and guarded security scheme will be implemented at the Central Zone on 1 May 2014.

The Central Zone can only be accessed from Jalan SS20/12.

All other access roads into the Central Zone will be closed and will only be opened for a brief period during peak hours.

Coffee Morning - 9 Nov 2013

Coffee morning organized by RA SS20 Central Zone at the Community Policing Cabin at Jalan SS20/14 which was attended by residents from all 3 zones. Breakfast was sponsored by some of the residents.

Attempted car theft at Jalan SS20/14

Last Friday night, at about 10 pm, the owner of a house near the Central Zone field returned home to find his gate slightly ajar and saw 2 men behaving suspiciously and fiddling at his car.

He shouted at them, they ran out. One of the men hopped onto a waiting white Honda and sped off. The other man ran off in the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, one of the neighbours who was having a walk in the field noticed what was happening and immediately notified the police. The police arrived within minutes.

The men also left a Wira car with its engine running a few doors away from the house. On checking, the police found that the car belongs to a Chinese national.
