Outraged netizens defend actions of father, son over alleged murder of robber

PETALING JAYA: Netizens are outraged over the news that a chef and his son are being charged with murder after allegedly killing a robber who broke into a house where they were staying.

Chef Mo Yi Hong, 56, and his son Wei Qiang, 28, are facing the death penalty for the alleged murder of Chen Wen Bao in Seremban, Negri Sembilan on Feb 24.

Chen allegedly slashed Mo's wife Guo Shu Lan, a Singaporean, before the family fought back.  Read more ....

Security Update

1) Snatch theft at Jalan SS20/2 (South Zone, not gated and guarded) last week at 10:30pm.
Suspect came on a motorbike, tried to snatch girl's bag but the girl threw her bag into her compound. The suspect managed to get away with the girl's handphone.

2) Try not to go to the bank ATMs at night.
At 11pm last week, a man was slashed at the neck at one of the banks in TTDI.
The victim went to deposit his cash at the ATM. Suddenly someone stood very close to him. The robber was hiding in between the ATMs. When the victim turned around, the robber slashed his neck and asked for money. The robber did not want the handphone. The victim gave him the money. Then someone else entered the ATM area and was also robbed. 
Police investigation found that normally the accomplices who act as lookout will be in 2 cars parked outside the bank.

Robber shot dead near NKVE

SHAH ALAM: A policeman shot dead a robber who slashed him on the left arm with a parang following a burglary at a bungalow belonging to a pilot on Tuesday.

Selangor police chief Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan said the four robbers had broken into the bungalow in Section 13 and tied up his 24-year-old son with a wire at 4am.
"They escaped with a laptop, three cell phones and a chain, all worth about RM10,000," he told a press conference.

He said policemen, who rushed to the scene in a MPV at 6am, after the victim called 999, spotted a Toyota Hilux parked by the roadside at the 7.8km of the NKVE highway, about 500 metres from the scene of the robbery.   Read more
