Gangs preying on bank customers busted

An iron spike used by the gang to be placed under car tyres being shown at a press conference at the Jalan Tun Razak police station in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
KUALA LUMPUR: Pretty women in tudung, iron spikes to puncture car tyres, handphones and warm smiles were all that a gang of Latin American crooks needed to steal from bank customers.
Using these "weapons", the gang had amassed RM600,000 from five cases committed here in the past three months.

Police called them "professional thieves" as they had all their bases covered.

Their ploy was simple. The female gang members would be stationed inside a bank and they would inform their accomplices waiting outside of a possible target.  Read more ......
