A large group of SS20 residents gathered at the Central Zone field last night to attend their 1st Tai Chi class.
Tai Chi, the Chinese slow-moving exercise can help relieve stress and increase flexiibility and balance.
The class was conducted by Mr Paul Hoe, a Central Zone resident and organized by the RA SS20 CENTRAL.
The aim of the activity is to promote a healthy lifestyle and to bring the residents together through exercise.
Classes will be held every Monday and Thursday night, 8 - 9pm at the Central Zone field.

Deletemay i know currently, the tai chi class is held on which day, venue and time? thanks
ReplyDeleteEvery Monday evening, 7pm - 8pm at the field, Jalan SS20/12, Damansara Utama.
DeleteHi. Are these classes still running at the above time 7-8pm every Monday? If so, what is the exact address. Also do I need to register before attending? Thank you
ReplyDeleteYes, every Monday evening, 7pm - 8pm at the field, Jalan SS20/12, Damansara Utama. If interested, just drop by and speak to Mr Fam
DeleteThe class led by Mr Fam is not subjected to any charges.
DeleteIs the class suitable for elderly ladies, for example 80 years and over?
ReplyDeleteThe Tai Chi class involves slow hand and leg movements, a bit of bending, balancing and the person will be constantly standing for a while. If the 80 year old person is still healthy and strong, should not be a problem. Anyway, the person is welcome to try it out for herself.
DeleteIf she thinks the tai chi class is not suitable for her, she can also try our Xianggong class which starts at 7:00 am - 7:45 am every Mondays to Fridays. This class also involves hand (1st level) and leg movements (2nd level) but very little balancing and is also offered free of charge.
