This is a video compilation of 4 robbery cases which happened in the Puchong & KL area from 23rd till 24th July, 2015.

The suspects used MPVs such as Toyota Vellfire & Estima with well dressed driver like a Dato Sri (suspected to be Malay who spoke Malay & English), 1 Indon (or Malay) & 2 Chinese men with parangs.

New highway to be built

WHEN the Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex) is ready, it will reduce travelling time between Damansara and Kinrara by about 25%.

The traffic volume will also be reduced by 50% in both directions from Puchong to Petaling Jaya.

It is estimated that traffic volume will reduce by about 30% from Taman Tun Dr Ismail, the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) and Bandar Utama to Petaling Jaya.

The highway is estimated to cost RM2.42bil and it will be a 90% elevated highway. Read more

PJ residents should beware Kidex highway

Even if the Kidex highway resolves the traffic problem at the expense of a few thousand properties, it does not mean that traffic problems will not recur. MBPJ has approved numerous projects that are underway and the effects of those developments will mean more traffic for PJ, which would only incentivise a new highway as a solution to the traffic problem again.

A proposal for another elevated highway for Petaling Jaya is already there in the form of the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (Dash), and such highways simply mean that your property may be next on the state government’s acquisition list.  Read more

Six Residents’ Associations receive RM10,000 grant

SIX Residents’ Associations (RAs) in Puchong were among the first in Selangor to receive RM10,000 under the RA Grant to enhance security and safety features in their neighbourhoods.

Bandar Puteri 12 RA chairman Alan Tam, whose association was among the recipients, said the grant would go towards installing additional security features such as boom gate and CCTVs in their housing area.

The grants were presented after a briefing by the Selangor Registrar of Societies (RoS) on the requirements and details of the initiative.

The grant, which is allocated under Budget 2013, is presented as an initiative to create a safe and harmonious neighbourhood.

The Government has allocated RM40mil for 4,025 RAs nationwide registered under the RoS for the RM10,000 grant.

“The RAs have to submit application forms either manually or online, complete with the proposed use of the grant, estimated cost of items and photos of the site,” said Selangor ROS director Noraffendy Abdul Khalid.  ... Read more .... ..

Thumbs-up for feeder buses in PJ

THERE are several free shuttle services available in Petaling Jaya to serve the community while some commercial areas such as Sunway, Puchong, The Curve and IPC Shopping Centre also offer free feeder service within their developments to the public.

The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has community buses plying Petaling Jaya Utara and Petaling Jaya Selatan and several bus stops have been added recently to cater to the high demand.

The IOI free shuttle connects major developments in Puchong including IOI Mall and different phases of Bandar Puteri.

Sunway’s developments including Sunway Pyramid Hotel, Sunway University College, Monash University Sunway Campus and Sunway Medical Centre are also easily accessible using the free bus service.    Read more ......
